Rabbi David Shamsi -Parashat Nitzavim-Vayelech 5777

While Rosh Hashanah is typically translated as “The beginning of the year”, it can also mean “the peak” of the year. From the vantage point of Rosh Hashanah, we can look back and see (hopefully) the tremendous heights we have scaled over the course of the prior year; at the same time, we can look ahead and get a glimpse of the obstacles and opportunities that lay ahead in the distance. May we all merit capitalizing on the insight offered by this most reflective time of year and use it for a sweet new year.
