Parashat Vaera
Mazal Tov and BiSiman Tov to Alex and Amy (Ruth) Turik upon the birth of a baby boy. May they merit to have the baby enter the Birit of Avraham Avinu in the proper and correct time. This year’s Shabbaton/Melaveh Malkah will BE”H be a very special event. It will start on Friday night, with an elaborate Friday night dinner with Family Style Seating. Reservation and Payment must be made by February 2, 2012.

Parashat Shemot
BiSiman Tov and Mazal Tov
The entire community wishes a sincere Mazal Tov to Rabbi and Rabbanit Daniel Raccah upon the marriage of their son. Mazal Tov to the Chatan and Kallah Mordechai Nissim and Shaine Raccah as well. May they merit to build a Bayit Ne’eman BiYisrael. Mazal Tov and welcome to the parents of the Kallah, Rabbi and Mrs. Kaye. Weather permitting, we will also have the honor of the presence of Shaine’s grandparents, Rabbi and Rabanit Shlomo Diamond, a celebrated Rav in the Syrian community of NJ. Welcome to the extended Kaye family of brothers and sisters! Welcome to Aunts and Uncles and Cousins who came to celebrate the Shabbat Chatan with all of us.
Rabbi and Rabbanit Raccah invite the Kehilla to a Shabbat Chatan Kiddush after the davening.
Women’s Shiur
The women’s shiur will take place this Motza’ei Shabbat, January 14th at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Jenny Nadoff, 2937 W. Chase. The speaker will be Mr. David Nadoff on the topic “Updating History: Re-contextualizing the Holidays.” This shiur will be dedicated l’ilui nishmat Dr. Grant Mitchell, Gedalya Reuven Levi ben Yerachmiel Dovid z”l for his upcoming yahrzeit on the 24th of Tevet.
Misilat Yisharim Shiur – The next Misilat Yisharim Shiur will take place this coming Wednesday, January 18th, 2012.

Fast of Asarah Bi’Tevet Tomorrow – The fast begins Thursday morning at 6:20am (according to Sephardic authorities) and ends at 5:23pm.

The Chanukah Party is BE”H scheduled for THIS Motza’ai Shabbat, December 24, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. in the Ateret Chaya Simcha Hall. $15.00/adult ; $5.00/child ; $60.00 family (of 5 or more adults) ; Questions by Rabbi Raccah has been cancelled last minute.. our apologies … BUT we have arranged for a special guest entertainment for the children with balloon designing and more! Goody bags will be given to our terrific children!! There will be a dairy meal served. (pizza, lasagna, eggplant parmesan, chumus, babganush, rice, salad and of course Sufganyot!!)
